The students belonging to the different reserved categories like OBC/SC/ST/EWS additional weightage of 5% marks at the time of admission is given. Students holding relevant certificates of NSS, NCC and outstanding Sportsman will also get weightage in admission. Gayatri Devi Vishamardas Joshi scholarship has been constituted for the bona fide students getting highest marks in the respective streams at college level.

In college a self finance B.Ed. course (Two years) is running for the last 7 years (2008-2009) with the permission of State Government & NCTE. For this purpose the college has obtained the letter of Intent from the National Council for Teacher's Education and as per the norms of the NCTE, appointments of Teaching and Non-teaching staff have been made. It is a matter of great honour to B.Ed. department and as well as to this college that this year B.Ed. Department has scored first position in common teacher eligibility test (CTET) among all B.Ed. college's of Uttarakhand.
